The work shall consist of the following in accordance with the "IDAHO STANDARDS for PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION MANUAL" (I.S.P.W.C. Latest Edition): 1. Pulverize existing asphalt, regrade, and compact. 2. Import 6 inches compacted 3/4 " road mix to roadway structure for approximately 5,000 linear feet by 25 feet in width. 3. Pave 4" A/C MAT to be pave at the following location, Montour Road, approximately 3,000 ton. Road approximately 5,000 linear feet by 24 feet in width. 4. Contractor to provide own survey for this project. Asphalt Mat shall consist of asphaltic material Class III, 1/2- inch PG 58-28 oil and shall conform to the I.S.P.W.C. MANUAL. Mats shall be placed with a Paver (lay down machine) and smooth transitions shall be made at both ends of the overlay projects. The contractor shall provide a grade crew to prep for a final grade prior to paving both locations. The contractor shall provide material testing and shall be in conformance with the "MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES" (M.U.T.C.D Latest Edition). The contractor shall provide Gem County Road & Bridge Department with weight tickets as each truck arrives at the project site. All inquiries concerning this project must be in writing addressed to Neal Capps, Director, Gem County Road & Bridge Department at 402 North Hayes Street, Emmett, Idaho 83617- 2646 via email at ncapps@co.gem.id.us. Inquiries must be received no later than 5:00pm on the 29th day of July 2024. Addenda will be issued based upon inquiries received. Addenda will be posted to the Gem County Website by 5:00pm on the 31 first day of July 2024. Gem County reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and without re-advertising to let a contract for the entire, or any part of, the proposed project to any persons at the terms which for any reason are the most advantageous for the County. Each Bidder is required to provide a Bid Surety in the amount of 5% of their bid. Failure to include the bond or check made payable to Gem County will result in rejection of the bid. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS Performance and Payment Bonds are required for the full amount of the bid. The Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds may be in the form of a cashier's check, irrevocable line of credit, or a bond made out to Gem County. INSURANCE The successful bidder, upon award, must provide the county with proof of liability insurance. Each Bidder is required to provide a Bid Surety in the amount of 5% of their bid.
