In order that Work may be conducted with minimum inconvenience to the public and, work under this Contract may be coordinated with other work which may be under construction or contemplated, and that work under the Contract may conform to conditions which it has been undertaken or conditions attached to a right-of-way or particular location for this work, the Engineer may determine the point or points and time or times when portions of work will commence or be carried on and may issue orders pertaining to the work sequence, relative to the rate of progress on several portions of the work. Question Deadline 08/15/2024 To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in via email to the Engineer (for this purpose, Emily Machlin at EMachlin@BETA-Inc.com at least seven calendar days before the established date for receipt of Bids. Vehicle Storage Garage - GC. Time for Completion for This Project Shall Be 270 Consecutive Calendar Days From the Date Stipulated in the Notice to Proceed to Commence the Work. the Work in This Contract Includes, but is Not Limited to, the Construction of a Prefabricated Metal Building to Act as a Vehicle Storage Garage, Including Civil/site Work, Utility Connections, Electrical, Plumbing and Hvac Equipment, and Appurtenant Work Associated Therewith. Attention of Bidders is Particularly Called to the Requirements as to Conditions of Employment to Be Observed and Minimum Wage Rates to Be Paid Under This Contract as Determined by the Department of Labor and Industries Under Provisions of the Massachusetts Genera l Laws Chapter 149, Section 26-27, Inclusive, as Amended. The Successful Bidder Must Furnish 100 Percent Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds. Bids Shall Be on a Lump Sum Basis. Bid Security: Certified, Treasurer's or Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the Sum of Five (5) Percent of the Total Bid is Required. The Owner and Engineer, Being Considered the Sole and Only Judge, Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality in, or to Reject, Any or All Bids, Should the Owner Deem It to Be in the Owner's Best Interest to Do So.
