Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Headingley, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of: Boyda Avenue Street Reconstruction Removal of existing asphalt pavement Excavation of existing road base materials to design sub-grade Removal of unsuitable material if required Compaction of sub-grade and placement of geogrid composite Placement and compaction of sub-base and base course materials Installation of french drains Placement of 7.5 meter asphalt roadway with 0.5 meter gravel shoulders Landscaping The Contractor shall carry Liability Insurance, in the amount of at least five million dollars ($5,000,000.00), covering all aspects of the work to be performed. The Contractor shall provide proof of insurance to the Owner, prior to commencement of the Contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for all Worker's Compensation arrangements and the payment of all assessments under the Workers Compensation Act and shall indemnify and save harmless, the Owner against any and all claims resulting from injuries to persons or property in carrying out of the work.
