The Project description: Partial TI (Tenant Improvement) to the Administration first floor including: moving existing light fixtures, adding new non-load bearing walls for more office space, installing new carpet, new signage, ADA site work, a new drinking fountain and ADA restroom. Contractor License required: B, General Building Contractor Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to, or by a bid bond issued in favor of, the Santa Barbara County Education Office, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the proposal. A bidder's bond shall be executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety admitted to transact business in California. The check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract and provide the additional surety bond(s) as specified in the Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days of the District's mailing of the Notice of Award to the successful bidder. The successful bidder, as Contractor, will be required to provide and furnish to the Business Manager of the District, prior to execution of an Agreement, a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract price and a Contract Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. One (1) copy of the executed Contract Performance Bond and the Payment Bond is required. Said bonds shall be secured from a surety company or companies meeting the requirements and minimum qualifications set forth in the General Conditions. The deadline for pre-bid questions or clarification requests is August 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
