DNRC is seeking a contractor to complete cutting and piling of slash on approximately 362 acres as specified in the below sections, and as shown on the project map, Attachment A. The contractor shall fall all trees including Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir except the leave trees as described below. The project consists of felling and bunching trees using a tracked feller-buncher, skidding trees using a tracked or rubbertired skidder, delimbing trees as specified using chainsaws or a stroke delimber or processor, piling slash and decking logs using the feller-buncher, stroke delimber, log loader and or skidder as approved by the State's liaison. The project site consists of burned down and upright timber from the 2021 South Moccsin wildfire. The Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry, in accordance with Sections 18-2-401 and 18-2-402 of the Montana Code Annotated (MCA), has determined the standard prevailing rate of wages for the occupations listed in this publication. The wages specified herein control the prevailing rate of wages for the purposes of Section 18-2-401, et seq., MCA. It is required each employer pay (as a minimum) the rate of wages, including fringe benefits, travel allowance, zone pay and per diem applicable to the district in which the work is being performed as provided in the attached wage determinations.
