The City of San Leandro is seeking one qualified firm or team to provide professional design services related to the construction of a pedestrian bridge over San Leandro Creek The City of San Leandro is seeking proposals from qualified Civil/Structural Engineering consulting firms or multi-disciplinary teams to prepare an environmental clearance document and detailed design of a replacement pedestrian bridge over San Leandro Creek connecting Cary Drive and Haas Avenue, which will also include ADA improvements to the existing sidewalk at the entrance to the bridge on Haas Avenue all in accordance with the scope of work within the request for proposals. Before the previous bridge was damaged, a single street light was positioned on a wooden pole at the end of the bridge on Cary Drive. A wooden joint utility pole with street light is also located at the end of the bridge on Haas Avenue; however, the current function of that street light is to illuminate the street, not the bridge approach. The Project will include re-establishment of lighting at the Cary Drive end of the bridge. The selected Consultant team shall also evaluate the feasibility of providing additional lighting to the bridge approach on Haas Avenue.
