Construction is underway. The project includes furnishing only new equipment for the approximate 133,500 SF New Central Middle School Project. The overall project consists of the construction of a new building on the north portion of the site where existing fields are currently located. The existing building will be occupied until the new facility is complete and will be demolished once construction is finished. Construction will take place in phases to allow the existing facility to remain functioning. The final site work will include access lanes, parking, athletic fields, and necessary drainage, utilities, and connections. Phase 1 of 3 Equipment Pre-Purchase for the new Central Middle School This Bid consists of the following: Bid #2446-24 RTUs Bid #2447-24 DOAs Units Bid #2448-24 Chillers Bid #2449-24 Boilers Bid #2450-24 Electrical Distribution Bid #2451-24 Generator and ATS Bid #2452-24 HRV Question Deadline 08/06/2024 . Each bid shall be signed and accompanied by a bid security payable to Turner Construction Company in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid proposal and shall be in the form of Bid Bond Only. If awarded the Contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price, in favor of Turner Construction Company and The Board of Education of the Town of Greenwich. The premium for these bonds shall be paid by the Contractor and be included in the contract price. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90 days after the actual date of Bid Opening. Turner Construction Company and/or The Board of Education of the Town of Greenwich reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive defects in same, or accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of Turner Construction Company and/or The Board of Education of the Town of Greenwich.
