It is the intent of this bid to obtain labor rates and % off parts for the service and repair of the Blydenburgh Road Landfill Submersible Pumps. The Town of Islip owns and operates a Phase I and II Construction and Demolition Cleanfill Landfill off Blydenburgh Road in Hauppauge. As part of the operations, the Town pumps leachate into storage lagoons from the landfill with two (2) primary and two (2) secondary 150 gpm-7 1/2 Hp leachate pumps. At times, these pumps need service and repairs. Hourly rates will be for, but not limited to, the primary and secondary pumps. PREVAILING WAGE RATES: The prevailing wage rate schedule for this contract are provided on the internet for bidding purposes. They can be obtained by visiting the New York State Department of Labor's website and entering PRC#2024009015. ADDENDUM AND INTERPRETATIONS: Every request for information or interpretation of the Contract Documents or drawings must be addressed in writing to Mr. Michael Rand, Town of Islip, Purchasing Department, 401 Main St., Room 227, Islip, NY 11751 (purchasing@islipny.gov) and to be given any consideration must be received at least five (5) business days prior to date fixed for the opening of bids. INTERPRETATION: The Town reserves the right to interpret to its satisfaction any questions or problems arising out of the Terms of Bidding, Conditions of Sale, Specifications or any information submitted by the vendor. BID SUBMISSION: ALL BIDS TO BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE - NO FAX OR EMAIL. NO RESPONSIBILITY SHALL ATTACHED TO ANY PEROR OR PERSONS FOR PREMATURE OPENING OF BIDS NOT PROPERLY LABELED OR SEALED. THE ISLIP TOWN BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WAIVE ANY FORMALITY AND/OR INFORMALITY OR TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS RECEIVED OR TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO ONE OR MORE BIDDERS FOR AN ITEM, GROUP(S) OF ITEMS OR ALL ITEMS OF THE BID, WHEN IN THE OPINION OF THE TOWN BOARD, SUCH AN ACTION WILL BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOWN. IN THE EVENT BIDS ARE REJECTED OR NO BIDS ARE RECEIVED, THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS AUTHORIZED TO RE-ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
