DESCRIPTION OF WORK Building 14 is a 24,104 SF building, occupied Marines Reserve Training located at 14 Hussey Rd, NWSSB, Seal Beach, CA. This is a Design Build (DB) construction project, the work entails building 14 HVAC & roof replacement and room 119 repairs at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB), Seal Beach, CA. The NAICS code is 236220, and the PSC code is Z2AA, Repair or Alteration of Office Buildings. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project will repair by replacement of thirteen (13) Single-Packaged Roof Top Units (RTU) and roofing system on Building 14 at The Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB), CA 90740. 1. Replace thirteen (13) existing Single-Packaged Roof Top units, which includes twelve (12) Carrier RTUs Electric Cooling/Gas Heat and one (1) Reznor Power-Vented, Gas Fired, Packaged Duct Furnace/Blower combination. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to replace all thirteen (13) RTUs by providing and installing new compatible RTUs as follow: • Five (5) each 2-Ton Carrier RTUs • One (1) 3-Ton Carrier RTU • One (1) 4-Ton Carrier RTU • Three (3) each 5-Ton Carrier RTUs • Two (2) each 6-Ton Carrier RTUs • One (1) 600 MBTU Reznor RTU Packaged Furnace. 2. Provide the design and installation of an approximately new 270 roof squares overlay PVC Single-Ply roofing system including walkways over existing built-up roofing (BUR) system. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the new roof membrane system installation and repair work consisting of but not limit to: • PVC Single-Ply roofing system. • Walking pad. • Roof flashing (includes 2-piece flashing system). • Drip Cap. • Top Cap for parapet walls. • Scupper and downspout. (Downspout will be primary secondary type) • An 11-FT wall-mounted ladder with OHSA compliance to provide (roof) access to a higher roof. Refer to Part 6 – Attachment - DWG MH-103 for preferred ladder location, contractor to field verify. 3. Room 119 Repair: Replace drywall, insulation (if needed), carpet, ceiling tiles, and repaint. PERFORMANCE PERIOD The Notice of Award is the signed DD1155 for this task order. The Notice of Award is the Notice to Proceed with the work on this project. The date of award is the date the DD1155 is signed by the Contracting Officer. After the Notice of Award is issued the contractor shall complete the work within 440 calendar days.
