Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Duboistown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Roadway Paving Contract: Perform approximately 1,645 SY of roadway surface milling; Furnish and place approximately 160 Tons 9.5 mm asphalt; Install 3 Each of ADA curb ramps; Removal 1 Each curb ramp; Perform approximately 37 CY roadway widening; Perform approximately 10 Ton of roadway base repair. Milling of Asphalt Surface 1.5-inch Depth: Provide a milling machine designed and built for milling existing Asphalt roadway pavement with a grade and slope control system. Mill the Asphalt surface to a uniform surface 1.5-inch depth as required, for the full width of the roadway. Milled material to be removed and stockpiled or disposed of as directed by the Duboistown Borough Official. Milling should provide a properly cross-sloped surface to maintain drainage throughout construction. Mill the roadway area to provide a finished surface that is free from gouges, grooves, and ridges. Immediately after milling, remove milled material. Carefully remove the existing Asphalt material around utility facilities within work areas. Repair or replace utility facilities that are damaged by the milling operation to the satisfaction of the utility owner. Control the rate of milling to avoid tearing of the mat, which causes chunky and non-uniformly milled material. If directed, separate oversized and chunky milled material. Maintain the milled pavement surface free of all loose materials and dust General Milling Note: o Milling heads mounted to roadway equipment will not be accepted for milling roadway surface. This includes but not limited to milling head mounted onto skid steers, loaders and backhoes. Asphalt Wearing Course 9.5mm: Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, < 0.3 Million ESALS, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-Any Furnish and place Asphalt Wearing Course material at 1- 1/2 " compacted depth across entire cross-section of roadway where indicated. General Paving Note: o Contractor shall contact Duboistown Borough 2 weeks prior to start of work. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as proof of worker's compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder for each contract. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
