Site work and paving for a road / highway in Duboistown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Following contracts: Roadway Paving Contract: Perform approximately 13,712 SY of roadway surface milling; Furnish and place approximately 1710 Tons 9.5 mm asphalt; Perform approximately 20 Ton of roadway base repair; Perform approximately 3 CY class I excavation; Furnish and place approximately 4 Ton of 2A aggregate; Furnish and place approximately 368 Ton of 19.0 mm asphalt; Furnish and place approximately 1,930 LF line paint; and Perform approximately 267 SY of concrete surface milling. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.Roadway Milling/Excavation: This work includes the removal of existing roadway material , the milling of the roadway surface and the milling/excavation of a roadway. The roadway material is to be removed at depths of (1.5"), (2"), & (4.5inches as directed, and the preparation of subgrade for the placement of asphalt and or aggregate material. Roadway surface milling & mill/excavate of asphalt surface into existing roadway, to a uniform surface (1.5"), (2"), & 4"- inch depths as required. Milled material to be removed and stockpiled or disposed of as directed by the Duboistown Borough Official. Milling should provide a properly sloped surface to maintain drainage throughout construction. Immediately after milling / excavation, remove material. Carefully remove the existing asphalt material around facilities within work areas. Repair or replace utility facilities that are damaged by the milling / excavation operation to the satisfaction of the owner. Any unsuitable material within the milled / excavated area is to be brought to the attention of Duboistown Borough before undercutting of proposed area and suitable material used to stabilize subgrade. Milling /Excavation General Note: Care is to be taken where the milling /excavation for the roadways is to be perform so not to damage existing concrete drives and existing concrete curblines (Westland Ave). Any damaged areas shall be repaired by contractor to the satisfaction of Borough official. Westland Aves existing deteriorated concrete curbline and drop curbing at the entrance to Borough apartments and Borough parking is to be removed. The replacement asphalt material is to be installed in a manner to allow drainage water to continue to flow on Westland Ave and not down the Borough apartment or Borough parking area drives. An asphalt drop curb shall be installed to control drainage. Milling shall be performed in a manner to ensure all final paving is lower than existing driveways. Milling on Westland Ave is to be performed in a manner to allow for 1" of final paving over the existing concrete curblines. The Milling on Arch Street requires the removal of delaminated concrete surfaces to allow for proper asphalt placement. The milling at Edgewood includes the entire intersection to a point approximately 25' south of the intersection to incorporate surface repairs from excavation. All milling on Arch Street is to be performed in a manner to maintain 13 '-7" under clearance of train overpass. Location of milling / excavation to be verified by Duboistown Borough representative. Contractor to retain all milled material. Contractor to verify all roadway widths with Duboistown Borough official. Contractor to ensure that a Borough representative is present during the milling of Winter Street to determine if repairs are needed. Asphalt Binder Course, 19.0 mm: Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Binder Course, PG 64S-22, < 0.3 million ESALS, 19.0 MM Mix, SRLANY. Furnish and place Asphalt Binder Course at the listed above compacted depth across the entire crosssection of the Roadway or as directed. Completed pavement shall provide a slope to maintain positive drainage throughout construction and positive drainage into all existing drainage ways. Asphalt Wearing Course 9.5mm Fine Grade: Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, < 0.3 Million ESALS, 9.5 MM FG Mix, SRL-Any Furnish and place Asphalt Wearing Course material at 2.0", 1.5" and 2.25" compacted depth across entire cross-section of roadway where indicated include 3/4" leveling course for paving depths of 2.25" and 1/2 " scratch course for paving depts of 2.0". All pavement materials shall be compacted across entire cross-section of roadways. All finished paved surfaces shall have a minimum of a 2% cross slope.
