Site work and new construction of a laboratory facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Working plans call for the construction of a 351,000-square-foot, one-story above grade laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
TerraCanada National Capital Area Project. TIMELINE: Following an open and competitive Request for Proposals, the contract for architectural and engineering services to design the TerraCanada NCA facility has been awarded to AECOM Canada Architects Ltd., AECOM Canada Ltd. and AECOM Technical Services Inc., in a joint venture, for a value of $59.5 million. The base contract for construction management services for the TerraCanada NCA facility has been awarded to EBC Inc., for a value of $78.8 million. Design updates & engineers will NOT be released for publication. Design work began in 2024, site preparation and construction anticipated to commence in 2026 with substantial completion in 2031. Updates will be made upon owners' announcement of construction commencement or intention to proceed.
