The City of Sulphur disaster debris removal project: Debris Removal from Rights-of-Way and city owned property, including the banks ofRock Creek; Hazardous Tree Abatement with in ROW and city owned property including the banks of Rock Creek; Staging, Reduction. Disposal, and Reclamation of a Disaster Management Site (DMS) The pre-bid meeting, bid opening, and bid award meeting are open to the public.. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities oftechnicalities without assigning any reason therefore, and to make the awards in the best interest ofthe Owner. Bids are solicited and a contract award will be made pursuant to the Public Competitive Bidding A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid shall be attached to all bids as a guarantee that the successful bidder will, within ten (10) days of the date ot notice of award, enter into contract and file the required bonds. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of opening thereof Bidders shall fully inform themselves ofthe nature of the work and conditions under which it will be performed. The Contractor shall adopt methods consistent with acceptable standards of construction practices and shall take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to the existing building, property and right of way. Any damage due to the Contractor's negligence shall be repaired at the Contractor's expense to the satisfaction ofthe City's Representative.
