Construction is estimated to start late 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Avondale (the "City") is issuing this Request For Qualifications (this "RFQ") seeking statements of qualifications ("SOQ") from qualified, licensed firms ("Vendors") interested in providing Avondale Dysart Road Sewer Replacement Phase II Design Services (the "Services"), as more particularly described in the Scope of Work. The construction of the Avondale Dysart Road Sewer Replacement Phase II may be completed through a Design-Bid-Build ("DBB") project delivery method. The procurement for the ("DBB") will be solicited separately. In accordance with the City's Procurement Code, the City will accept sealed SOQ for the Services specified in the Scope of Work. The City intends to engage the service(s) of a firm having specific experience and qualifications in one or each of the areas identified in this RFQ. For consideration, SOQs for the project must provide evidence of the firm's experience and abilities in the specified area(s) and other disciplines directly related to the proposed service. This project will design approximately 3,300 Linear Feet (LF) of Gravity Sewer to be constructed in three phases, which includes: Approximately 2,000 LF of 12-inch gravity sewer along Dysart Road from Harison Drive to the existing 15-inch sewer line in the Eliseo C Felix Jr Way alignment, just south of the retention basin as identified in Appendix A. Approximately 1,300 LF of 12-inch gravity sewer along 7th Street from Corral Street to Harrison Drive Approximately 1,000 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer on Harrison Drive from 4th Street to Dysart Road The new gravity sewer will accommodate increased sewer flow, correct slope issues on the gravity sewer in 7th Street, reverse the direction of flow in Harrison Drive, reduce maintenance issues and establish a new discharge point to the existing 15" sewer line along the Eliseo C Felix Jr Way alignment, south of the Tres Rios Landing. The city is currently proposing to use 'Design Bid Build' for the project delivery method but may consider other methods as well. Due to budget constraints, the city is requesting to complete the design in three phases and to provide bid documents for each phase so that each phase can be bid separately and potentially in separate fiscal years.
