Reference Number 0000275662 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/08/09 04:30:00 PM CDT A hazardous Building Materials Assessment (HBMA) dated July 11, 2024 was prepared for both sites and is available for review. It is recommended that contractors tendering for this work, obtain and familiarize themselves with the findings and recommendations on these assessments. Copies of the HBMA are available at Prairie View Municipal Offices in Birtle and Miniota. The HBMA summary of findings states: 1. 920 St. Clare Street: Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's) are present in the building. Lead was confirmed in select paint/surface coatings. Mercury liquids were found in the thermostat ampules. Silicia was present in the concrete and other materials such as masonry. 2. 165-171 North Railway Avenue: Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's) are present in various areas of the building. Lead is present in the pain and surface coatings. Silica is present in the concrete and other materials such as masonry. Mercury vapor is present in lamp tubes. Visible mold was not observed. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all locates and abiding by all conditions of said locates. The contractor is responsible for erecting and maintaining a security fence around the worksite. The contractor shall follow safe work procedures and regulations when handling ACM's and mercury containing equipment and lamps, disturbing lead, silica and water damage. The contractor is responsible for properly hauling and disposing of hazardous wastes. Transporting hazardous wastes shall be in compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Regulations (TDGR). Disposing of Hazardous wastes shall be at a licensed hazardous waste facility. All materials supplied by the contractor to ensure the safety and security of the site will be considered incidental to the lump sum bid price for Abatement and Disposal of Hazardous Materials. All materials, men and equipment provided by the contractor for abatement and disposal of hazardous materials will be considered incidental to the lump sum bid price for Abatement and Disposal of Hazardous Materials. The quote provided shall be a lump sum price for Abatement and Disposal of Hazardous Materials.
