Site work for a military facility in Waimanalo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and materials to perform all work related to demolishing a 800 ft stretch of fence then constructing a perimeter chain link fence for part of the Property Boundary, as shown in other attachments on HIePRO. This new fence is to include one single-swing gate and one double-swing gate. All fencing must meet NAVFAC Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) for Fences and Gates; pages UFC 700-702 are attached and detail how posts, braces, gates, etc. are to be laid out and installed. Contractor shall install approximately 800 linear feet (LF) of new 8' high chain link fence with three strands of barbed wire on the top. All posts must be anchored 3 feet below grade with a 10" diameter of concrete for Line Posts and a 12" diameter of concrete for Terminal Posts. Each post must have a top cap with a 16" B.W. fitting extension. Barbed Wire strands are to be installed on the aforementioned fittings 5" apart. All material is to be PVC-coated and galvanized. No existing materials, including post footings, shall be utilized to construct the new fence. Original surety bid bonds do not need to be submitted. Bidders are reminded that a copy of its surety bid bond shall be included with its bid submitted and uploaded to HIePRO. Due to the nature of the work contemplated bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license in the appropriate classification - C-32. General Engineering Contractors holding an 'A' license and General Building Contractors holding a 'B' license are reminded that due to the Hawaii Supreme Court's January 28, 2002 decision in Okada Trucking Co., Ltd. v. Board of Water Supply, et al., 97 Haw. 450 (2002), they are prohibited from undertaking any work, solely or as part of a larger project, which would require the General Contractor to act as a specialty Contractor in any area in which the General Contractor has no license. If awarded a contract in response to this solicitation, offeror agrees to comply with HRS 11-355, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from a State and County government contractor during the term of the contract if the contractor is paid with funds appropriated by the legislative body between the execution of the contract through the completion of the contract. The Scope of Work involves demolishing an 800-foot stretch of fence then constructing a perimeter chain link fence with three strands of barbed wire on the top. The estimated cost of the project ranges between $200,000 and $250,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
