This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 26% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, partial reconstruction of entrance and exit ramps with proposed PCC pavement at the I-80 and I-55 interchange. The work also includes the construction of a new directional ramp for SB I-55 to EB I-80 with flyover bridge crossing over I55, along with reconstruction of Mound Road/E. Frontage Road with proposed HMA, construction of new retaining walls and drainage improvements within the reconstruction limits. Related work proposed in this contract includes grading, pavement marking, signage, erosion control, landscaping, lighting, ITS, and replacement of the existing access control fencing, any and all incidentals to complete the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering and Prequalification Agreement System (EPAS).
