Site work and paving for a road / highway in Holland, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
2.0 miles of detailed pavement removals and hot mix asphalt repairs in composite pavement sections. All work shall conform to the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction. Pavement shall be removed to the limits detailed in the plans and reconstructed using hot mixed asphalt. Location :It is the intent of the Ottawa County Road Commission to contract joint work for MDOT on 196 westbound between 56th Street and 60th Street, in Laketon and Fillmore Townships, Allegan County, Michigan. The pavement section shall be saw cut and fully removed to the limits detailed in the plans. Removals shall be to the aggregate base course. Hot mixed asphalt shall be used to reconstruct the pavement section to the existing grade. The contactor shall take care to properly match the existing finish grade. Deviations of 1/8 inch in 10ft or more will require surface profiling at the contactors expense to properly match the existing pavement surface. Lane 2 noted in the patch log is designated as the right outside most driving lane. Start work within 10 days after receiving the notice of award or contract or as approved by MDOT project staff. In no case shall work commence prior to receipt of formal notice of award. Work shall not commence prior to September 3re, 2024. The entire project shall be completed on or before September 30th, 2024.
