The City of Chino Hills ("City") invites your organization to submit a written proposal to provide large meter testing, calibration, repair, & replacement services. The successful vendor will be awarded a contract for a three-year period with two one-year renewal options. The proposal must clearly demonstrate how your organization would best satisfy the requirements of the City. This written Request for Proposal (RFP) states the scope of the City's requirements and specifies the general rules for preparing the proposal. This written Request for Proposal (RFP) states the scope of the City's requirements and specifies the general rules for preparing the proposal. The City is not liable for any costs incurred by the Proposer before entering into a formal contract. Costs for developing the proposal or any other such expenses incurred by the Proposer in responding to the RFP, are entirely the responsibility of the Proposer, and shall not be reimbursed in any manner by the City. No reimbursable cost may be incurred in anticipation of award. Materials submitted by respondents are subject to public inspection under the California Public Records Act (Government Code Sec. 6250 et seq.), unless exempt. The City of Chino Hills (City) owns its water supply and distribution system. The City is responsible for the operation and maintenance of ten pumping stations, seven hydro-pneumatic stations, and 19 reservoirs, as well as over 300 miles of distribution pipelines and approximately 22,000 water service connections. In addition to the thousands of smaller service meters, the City currently has 373 large water meters. The large water meters range in size from 2" to 24" and are comprised of turbine, octaves, and fire service assemblies. Systematic testing and proper maintenance of both the small and large meters helps the City achieve meter accuracy, meet AWWA standards, and prevent water loss. This RFP is for the purpose of selecting a qualified firm to provide large meter testing, calibration, repair, & replacement services for the City of Chino Hills. The City may cancel this solicitation at any time. All proposals shall comply with current-federal, state, and other laws relative thereto.
