The project primarily consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following approximate quantities: 1,600' of 12" Ductile Iron Watermain 330' of 16" Ductile Iron Watermain 650' of 20" O.D. HDPE Watermain (Horizontal Directional Drilled) 17 Copper Water Services Approximately 1,000 feet of roadway reconstruction Work also includes, but is not limited to, incidental storm sewer removal and replacement, verification of existing sanitary laterals, maintenance of traffic, and restoration. Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes placing the systems in operation in compliance with the standards of these specifications. Document notes: Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $120. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $30. A $10 charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. FUNDING The work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with federal funds. DavisBacon/Prevailing Federal Wages apply to this project. Federal Labor Standards Provisions and associated documents that are incorporated in this contract are included in Appendix C. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Benton Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of 90 days after the receipt of bids. The project shall be substantially complete within 166 days of starting construction, and no later than October 31, 2025.
