No bids received. The City of Fairfield, Alabama (hereinafter referred to as the "City") invites and will receive sealed bids on Repairs of the Walter J. Hanna Memorial Library, hereto from bidders. The bidder submitting proposals must submit sealed envelopes containing the proposals addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fairfield, Alabama 35064, and marked "Proposal for Walter J. Hanna Memorial Library. The bidding specifications are listed below: Repair and paint walls in the Computer Area. - This consists of 2 areas within the main Library area at the 2 front corners of the room. Work would consist of floor protection, repairing the walls from floor to ceiling in the affected areas, painting from corner to corner as needed, and construction cleaning of the 2 areas. Stairway to Second Floor - Consists of required demolition, wall and ceiling repair up top second floor, new wall and ceiling painting, new stair trim painting, new stair tread and landings, required lighting Renovations to the Office and Board Room. Approximately 28 x 16 = 448 sq ft. Consists of replacing existing ceiling tiles and new LED lighting (approximately 12 fixtures) Renovations to the Board Room Toilet Room - consists of a new base cabinet with countertop (Corian) and sink with fixture. Renovations to the Catalog Room. Approximately 16 x 12 = 192 sq ft. - Consists of required demolition, new ceiling tiles with new lay-in lighting, new flooring (carpet tiles), and base. Renovations to the Second Floor Large Room. Approximately 55 x 12 = 660 sq ft. - Consists of required demolition, wall repairs, and painting, new flooring and base (carpet tiles), lay-in LED lighting, and new ceiling tile. Doors to remain. Lighting in the reading area - Consists of new LED pendant-type fixtures Bidders must comply with Section 31-13-9, Code of Alabama 1975. The bidder must provide documentation that they are enrolled in the E-Verify program along with their bid and the award of the contract is conditioned on the bidder not knowingly employing, hiring for employment or continuing to employ an unauthorized alien with the State of Alabama.
