The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement of an outdated clay pipe sewer system that has been compromised. The project involves the installation of a new sewer line and the necessary connections to existing branches. Project details include: 1. Pipe Replacement: o Replace the existing 12-inch clay pipe sewer line, which runs approximately 300 feet to a manhole. o Install a new 12-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe parallel to the existing line. o The original clay pipe will be abandoned in place. 2. Connections and Branches: o Several branches that currently connect to the original clay pipe will need to be reconnected to the new PVC line. 3. New Structures: o Installation of several new structures to support the new sewer line system. Question Deadline 08/21/2024 Questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted via email to Candace Bingham, Director of Procurement at cbingham@stlzoo.org. All emailed questions and answers will be shared with all responders. The source of the questions will remain anonymous. Addendums will be placed on the Zoo website as they become available electronically. Any submitted proposal shall remain valid and subject to acceptance for ninety (90) days after the proposal due date.
