Renovation of a municipal facility in West Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The deadline for (RFI) Request for Information is Friday, October 18, 2024, 12:00pm and should be submitted via email to kchambers@westhaven-ct.gov. 1. System Assessment: Conduct a detailed assessment of the existing HVAC system. 2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. 3. Removal of Existing System: Safely remove and dispose of the existing HVAC equipment, ductwork, and debris which needs to be replaced. 4. Installation: Install the HVAC system, including boiler, indirect fired water heater, hot water coils, air handling units, condensing units, ductwork, and controls listed below. 5. Energy Efficiency: Integrate energy-efficient technologies and optimize system performance. 6. Control System: Install and configure a modern control system that allows efficient management of the HVAC system, including remote access, energy monitoring, and automated scheduling. 7. Ductwork: Clean and install new ductwork as needed, ensuring proper air distribution and sealing. 8. Training and Documentation: Provide training for City staff on the operation and maintenance of new equipment that has been installed. Additionally, the project includes the following: - Replacement of the existing gas boiler with a high-efficiency gas boiler and indirect fired hot water heater. - Replacement of the main air conditioner unit and air handler add hot water coil for heating. - Replacement of the office air conditioner unit and air handler add hot water coil for heating. - Installation of a ductless heat pump system with an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) system for the new cat room. - Installation of a new control system. - Cleaning of all existing ductwork. The City of West Haven reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposal process, and accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
