Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Gainesville, Georgia. Working plans call for the renovation of a 131,995-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and 177,083-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

The owner has selected a Construction Manager. The facility is a two-story complex of approximately 309,078 sq. ft. The complex consists of two facilities with a shared cafeteria space; Howard Middle School (131,995 sq ft) and Howard High School (177,083 sq ft).The project scope includes upgrades to flooring and finishes, hardware, security, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, and partial HVAC replacement. It is the intent of the BCSD to contract with one construction manager for both project schedules to run simultaneously. Each project (school) will have independent project management, subcontractors, schedules and budgets. It is also the intent of the BCSD to have high-performance buildings with sustainable design. The program development services for this project shall begin immediately upon acceptance of this proposal and must be completed soon enough for construction to begin by January 13, 2025. Construction must be completed no later than July 25, 2025.
