A Payment Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit is the SELECTED payment protection for the Government. The penal amount of bond shall be 100% of the original contract price. If the contract price increases, the Government will require an increase in the penal sum of the existing bond. This bond shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer within 10 days after receipt of award. A Performance Bond shall be required if the total price of the quote is $150,000.00 or above. The penal amount of the Performance Bond shall be 100% of the original contract price. If the contract price increases, the Government will require an increase in the penal sum of the existing bond. This bond shall also be submitted to the Contracting Officer within 10 days after receipt of award. Project staff reserve the right to cease work at any time should the safety of employees, Contractors, and/or the public become jeopardized. The Contractor will comply with all established security policies at Union Village Dam. Due to periods of heightened security that may affect the access to the areas covered under this contract, the Government reserves the right to close any property or portion of property and reschedule and/or cancel any subsequent work. The Contractor shall be given at least 24-hours' notice of any such closure. For the duration of the contract, the Contractor will be provided one (1) key to provide access to work areas. This key is to be used only for contract purposes. This key will not be utilized to provide access for any individuals not performing contract specific work. During the contract period, the Contractor is assumed responsible for the key. At the end of the work period, the key must be returned the TPOC.
