Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Staunton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities ofwork asfollows: Item: 1. Existing Bridge Demolition 2. Installation of New Precast Box Culvert -11'x6' 3. Sidewalk Installation 4. Concrete Headwalls 5. Rip Rap 6. Dirt Backfill &Grading . Acertified check orbank draft, payment to the order of City ofStaunton, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or asatisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety inanamount equal tofive percent (5%) of the total Bid shall besubmitted with each Bid. Attention iscalled tothe fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages asset forth in the Contract Documents must bepaid onthis project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The City ofStaunton reserves the right to reject any or all bids ortowaive any informality inthe bidding. Bids may beheld bythe City ofStaunton for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose ofreviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior toaward of the Contract. Payment for CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will not be refunded.
