The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide equipment with operators to transport salt brine in total units of a minimum 5000 gallons upon VDOT request as the need arises during the months from November through April for the Lynchburg District. The contractor shall transport the salt brine from the Lynchburg District Office, Camp 15 Specialty Headquarters and Keysville Dome to the following counties, Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell, Nelson, Pittsylvania, Halifax, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland and Prince Edward. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award through one year (renewable) The work to be performed under this contract is to provide equipment with operators to transport salt brine in total units of a minimum 5000 gallons upon request as the need arises during the months from November thru April of the year. The term\ “EA” on the bid pages signifies a minimum of 5000 gallons. This contract will consist of contractor loading liquid salt brine at the (1) Lynchburg District located at 4219 Campbell Avenue in Lynchburg, Virginia, (2) Camp 15 Specialty Headquarters located at 1457 Concord Road, Chatham, Virginia and (3) Keysville Dome located at 1717 Farmville Highway, Keysville Virginia, delivering to the sites specified in the pricing pages as shown on the bid pages.
