Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Northbrook, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Sanders Road Sidewalk Improvement Bid. Scope of Work Northfield Township Road District, Cook County, Illinois ("Township") is requesting Proposals for Sanders Road Sidewalk Improvement, (the "Work"). The Work is to be performed in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications and Contract Documents prepared and provided by the Township. The Proposer shall include furnishing all the necessary labor, material, tools, equipment, and appurtenances to provide sidewalk improvement at Sanders Road, Northfield Township Road District, Illinois, as shown on the plans and as specified herein. The Work includes: removal of driveways, landscape removals, signage removals, striping removals; installation of concrete sidewalk, bituminous driveway aprons, storm sewer, striping, signage, pedestrian signalization, erosion control, traffic control, and landscape restoration. The Contractor shall personally examine the site of the work and make investigations as necessary to be acquainted with the nature and location of the work and the character of the work area. When the plans or specifications include information pertaining to the location of existing facilities, such information represents only the opinion of the Township as to location of such utilities and is only included for the convenience of the Contractor. The Township and Township Engineer assume no responsibility whatever in respect to the sufficiency, accuracy, or completeness of the information shown on the plans relative to the location of these utility facilities. It is each Contractor's responsibility to determine the actual location of all utilities. The plans and specifications are intended to call the Contractor's attention to all items required and necessary to complete the work. All items that are not specifically shown on the plans or in the Summary of Quantities, but that can reasonably be interpreted to be included in the work, shall be incidental to the cost of the contract. Dimensions on the drawings shall be checked by the Contractor before starting the Work. All errors, omissions or discrepancies shall be brought to the attention of the Township in writing prior to the commencement of work. All material removed, and debris shall be disposed of by the Contractor in a manner approved by the Federal, State and County requirements. If the plans and specifications conflict the Township Engineer shall interpret the meaning in the interest of Township. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to notify the property owner when it is necessary to access property. The Township Engineer's review of any item shall be only for general conformance with the design concept of the project. All materials and workmanship must be in accordance with generally accepted methods and standards of the industry and be consistent to be of the highest quality. The successful bidder shall perform all duties in a timely and workmanlike manner as to cause minimal interference with normal activities and not interfere with normal traffic flow on the streets. The successful bidder's vehicles will not be left parked on any street in violation of the posted parking restrictions. All work on this bid shall be done between 7a.m. and 5p.m. on weekdays. Work at any other time (no Holidays permitted) is prohibited except in an emergency and with permission of the Township Highway Commissioner. Changes without the permission may be grounds for termination of Contract. All rubbish and other surplus materials shall be disposed of daily. The successful bidder is responsible for disposing of all surplus materials created by the performance of this contract. No debris shall be discarded on the right-of-ways or other Township property. All materials shall be removed from the work site at the end of each workday by the successful bidder unless specific permission is granted to do otherwise by the Township Highway Commissioner. Every Contractor and every Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the work. Every Contractor and Sub-Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: A. All employees on the work and other persons and organizations who may be affected thereby; B. All the work and materials and equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the site; and C. Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures, utilities and underground facilities not designated for removal, relocations or replacement in the course of construction. Every Contractor and every Sub-Contractor shall designate a responsible representative at the site whose duty shall be the prevention of accidents. This person shall be the Contractor's superintendent unless otherwise designated in writing by Contractor to the Township. License All Proposers must be licensed by the State of Illinois to be eligible for award of contract. Northfield Township Road District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding documents or procedures and to award the contract to a bidder which best serves the interest of Northfield Township Road District after all bids have been examined and canvassed.
