This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Belton, Missouri. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Contact: Bob Orr Company: City of Belton Project Location: Belton, MO The City of Belton is offering short-term, emergency curb-side tree limb and brush pick-up from private properties to assist residents in recovery efforts. The Contractor will systematically perform curb side debris pick-up after a qualified storm event. A qualified storm event is one classified by the National Weather Service as tornado, thunderstorm wind (greater than 55mph), winter storm (snow and/or ice), flash flood, etc. The Belton Public Works Department will be the sole arbiter in deciding whether a specific weather event qualifies for emergency tree limb removal. Storm debris from contractors and other non-residents will not be collected or accepted and are the responsibility of non-residents and contractors to properly dispose. Residents will place storm debris (tree limbs and brush) near the curb (within 6 feet of), but not in the street, away from mailboxes, vehicles, signs, light poles, fire hydrants, etc. where it can be picked up by the Contractor. The Contractor shall not enter residential lots to remove debris. Residents will be required to have storm debris placed near the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the third (3rd) weekday following the storm event at which time the Contractor shall begin its systematic collection of storm debris at private properties within the City of Belton City limits. This service will fluctuate due to volume and unforeseen circumstances, but the Public Works Department will coordinate with the Contractor to ensure service to all impacted areas within 10 days following a qualified storm event. This would effectively be on an on-call agreement in response to emergency situations such as qualified storm events. The locations of the work to be done following each qualified storm event shall be coordinated with the Public Works Department. The Contractor will demonstrate the capabilities to respond on short notice during an emergency event for the purposes of Emergency Tree Limb and Brush Removal. The successful Contractor must be available twenty-four seven (24-7) including holidays. Contractors are asked to propose an approach including means and methods to agree with the intent of this RFP as well as a proposed pricing structure. Requests for information related to this RFP should be directed to: Bob Orr, Engineer I Telephone: (816) 892-1293 E-Mail: borr@belton.org
