Prequalifications of General Contractors for KID 2024 Trenchless Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project. Kearns Improvement District (Owner) will accept bids for the construction of the KID 2024 Trenchless Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project according to the Drawings and Specifications and in accordance with the Kearns Improvement District Standard Specifications and Drawings Manual, and described in general as: Provide rehabilitation of approximately 2,889 linear feet of 8-inch clay sanitary sewer main utilizing the Curedin-Place (CIPP) method in Kearns, Utah. The work generally includes sanitary sewer pipe rehabilitation using CIPP, including cleaning, CCTV inspection, reinstating approximately forty-five (45) laterals utilizing "top hat" inserts, and related items of work. The OWNER will then make the decision of award and contact the individual bidders with the decision on or after Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS to be executed by the winning CONTRACTOR will be available after the date of the bid award. These CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will include an agreement to be signed by both the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER prior to any work commencing. A PAYMENT BOND and PERFORMANCE BOND will be required by the winning CONTRACTOR and all necessary forms are also included in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to accept or reject the whole or any part of any bid; or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the best interest of the District. Only bids giving a firm quotation properly submitted and signed will be accepted. A. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project. All communication relative to the Project and any questions which BIDDERs may have concerning the project shall be submitted to James Woodruff, jwoodruff@kidwater4ut.gov with the email titled "KID 2024 Trenchless Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation - Questions". The district will receive and respond to questions with a return email within 3-5 business days, but no later than 3 days before the bids are due. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the OWNER in an amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond (on the form attached) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions. The number of days within which, or the dates by which, the Work is to be (a) Substantially Completed and (b) also completed and ready for final payment are set forth in the Agreement.
