Desired Outcomes: The federal government is investing millions to support the construction of the PRAIRIE Biologics Accelerator at the University of Manitoba's Fort Garry Campus. This state-of-the-art, facility will bring together scientists and engineers to develop new vaccines and improve biomanufacturing processes. The facility will also include three additional floors for the development of undergraduate student teaching labs. Project Details: - Location: Parking lot A - University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus - Size: 59,698 sq ft of dedicated lab space plus 3 additional teaching floors for Physiology and Anatomy and Biochemistry. - Key Features: Multiple CL-2 laboratory spaces, teaching labs, offices, prep areas, and washrooms. - Sustainability: Targeting LEED Silver certification at minimum. - Special Requirements: The facility will be connected to the University tunnel system and integration with campus steam and chilled water systems. Building Requirements: - Modern CL-2 laboratory facilities compliant with all safety standards and regulations. - Flexible spaces to accommodate evolving research needs. - Energy-efficient design meeting LEED Silver standards. - Integration with campus utility systems.
