Question Deadline 09/04/2024 at 2:00 PM ET All items the requirements of this section must be submitted in writing to the attention of Linda Hapeman, Executive Director Of Windham Region Transit District, or to lhapeman@wrtd.org Windham Region Transit District is issuing (an IFB) to solicit proposals from interested qualified firms for the Installation and wiring of two Mobile 50Kw charging stations to be installed at the prescribed Windham Region Transit District property located at 28 S Frontage Road Mansfield Center CT 06250 under the terms of the Eversource CT Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program and CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection ZEV Infrastructure Program. This IFB prioritizes the lowest-priced, technically acceptable bid. The contractor offers the best combination of price and adherence to the requirements to be awarded. Scope Of Work : 1. The infrastructure for two charging stations [for Battery Electric Buses (BEB)] will be installed at 28 S Frontage Road Mansfield Center CT 06250. 2. Contractor to perform all work required by the drawings attached in Appendix I. Work includes (but is not limited to): a. Supply and installation of 10' x 10' (+/-) Storage Building. Basis of design is attached in Appendix II. Products with equivalent construction and specifications (e.g., size, security, mechanical, electrical, etc.) will be considered. Building will become property of the State of Connecticut. b. Coordination with Eversource and installation of all electrical components, including two mechanical interlocks. The owner-furnished chargers (see Appendix III) will plug into these mechanical interlocks. 3. The contractor shall megger test all new conductors and provide a report. 4. Once #2 and #3 are complete, WRTD will arrange an inspection by CTDOT code compliance while the contractor is present. CTDOT code compliance will release Eversource to energize the service. 5. Once the service is energized, WRTD will arrange for the mobile chargers to be delivered to the site while a New Flyer BEB is there, and the chargers will be commissioned with the contractor present.
