Tank coating work shall include removal and disposal of existing paint, preparation of the surface, application of new paint, coating quality control testing, disinfection, and bacteriological and volatile organic compound testing. In general, the work consists of furnishing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals required to remove and repaint the interior coating and pressure wash and apply the exterior coating on the Summit 1 Tank. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid included in the bid proposal as a guarantee that the Contractor will enter into a contract to perform the proposal in accordance with plans and specifications.
