Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed Work is generally described follows: BASE BID: This contract work consists of parking lot improvements throughout the City of Elgin, Illinois. Improvements include, but are not limited to, HMA removal / replacement, P.C. Concrete removal / replacement, pavement patching, sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement, pavement striping, and drainage improvements, where applicable, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements as shown on the plans and as described herein. ALTERNATE BID No. 1: This contract work consists of HMA resurfacing to private roadways as part of Bluff City Cemetery. In addition to HMA resurfacing, work will include restoration with topsoil placement and seed, crack routing and crack filling, and Class D pavement patches, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements as shown on the plans and as described herein. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified or cashier's or a bank draft in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid, payable without condition to the City of Elgin, Illinois, which sum shall be forfeited in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a binding contract and provide a properly executed contract surety bond within 15 days after the contract is awarded by the City Council. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive technicalities and any informality in any bid.
