Project summary description: This project consists of replacing 21,000+ SF of roof membrane (Fibertite spec) and metal roof on a multi-story, multi-level building. The bidding package is 15 drawing sheets and a 228-page Project Manual. Timeline: 150 calendar days from approx. October 17, 2024. Each alternate accepted will add time. Contractors must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes to bid and perform the work described herein as the general contractor. An Unlimited Building or Unclassified G.C. license will be required. 100% Performance & Payment Bonds will be required, and a 5% Bid Bond must be included with bid submittal. As a construction contract, a 10% M/WBE subcontracting goal applies to this project. Refer to the Special Instructions in the project manual regarding the County's M/WBE program requirements. Forsyth County reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. If less than three bids are received, the project will be re-advertised per N.C.G.S. 143-132. End of Question period is 5:00 PM, September 4, 2024.
