Region 5 PE EA PE003516 CON EA CON04810 The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) plans to install Detection Systems with Truck Priority and Dynamic Dilemma Zone Protection features at multiple locations in Umatilla County along US730, US395, OR207, and US30. Connecting these devices to the roadside network may require upgrades to the ITS gear at the affected locations. These locations have a history of rear-end crashes due to higher speeds and downhill conditions. This project aims to improve radar detection technology, reduce crashes, and enhance public safety. There will be no ground disturbance associated with this project. All upgrades will be like-in-kind replacements but with updated equipment. Initially, there were three locations in Pendleton that were a part of this project: US395 at milepost (M.P.) 1.70, 1.77, and 2.52. These locations have been added to an ADA project on these same intersections. Therefore, they are no longer a part of this project, though the specialist documentation may mention these locations.
