Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work to be done under these specifications is to cover the completed work shown on the plans or called for in the specifications and other contract documents. The Contractor shall furnish all implements, machinery, tools, equipment, materials, and labor necessary to the performance of the work and shall furnish and do everything necessary to make the work perfect, complete, neat, and finished, and the Contractor shall leave all the work to be done under this contract in this condition at the time the work is finally inspected. A. This Contract is for the Owners pre-purchase of a fixed steel cover for Digester 5. The demolition of the existing floating cover and installation of the new fixed steel cover shall be executed under a separate contract between Owner and Installing Contractor. B. The fixed cover manufacturer will be required to coordinate with the installing contractor on material deliveries, installation guidance, and commissioning. The Wilmington Regional WWTP Digester 5 Rehabilitation - Cover Purchase project includes the procurement of a new cover for Digester 5. This project is funded by the Delaware Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund: therefore, bidders and the successful contractor must comply with the related Program Requirements. Bidders must follow the "Good Faith Efforts" in providing opportunities to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in preparation of their bids and procurement of construction, supplies, and services. Bidders must also comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
