The purpose of this project is for the removal and disposal of the Diesel Fuel AST and remaining Diesel Fuel at the St. Johns County Sawgrass Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at 10036 Sawgrass Drive W., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and all other local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and permitting. The concrete pad beneath the AST is to remain. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor informalities, or award the bid/proposal which best serves the interests of St. Johns County. St. Johns County Sawgrass Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) is located at 10036 Sawgrass Drive W., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. A pump station was constructed, the waste water treatment facility was demolished, and the site has been prepared to be re-purposed. A 10,000 gallon Diesel Fuel Above-Ground Storage Tank (AST) with 9,500 gallons of diesel fuel remaining is no longer needed and is located where the new entrance is proposed for the site. The Diesel AST is shown as No. 9 on the aerial map of the Sawgrass WWTP Components in Exhibit A. Photos of the AST and current site conditions are provided in Exhibit B. The purpose of this project is for the removal and disposal of the Diesel Fuel AST and remaining Diesel Fuel in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and all other local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and permitting. The concrete pad beneath the AST is to remain. Contractor Responsibilities: Contractor must provide all licenses, permits, and insurance required. Contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and equipment necessary for the removal and disposal of an existing 10,000 Gallon Diesel Fuel Above-Ground Storage Tank (AST) and remaining 9,500 gallons of diesel fuel. Contractor must remove and legally dispose of 9,500 gallons of diesel fuel, in accordance will local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Contractor must remove and legally dispose of the existing Diesel Fuel AST in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Removal does not include the cement pad. Contractor is responsible for any damages to existing structures caused in the course of the work and shall repair/or replace as necessary, at no additional cost to the County. Contractor must provide the County with documentation of the proper disposal of the diesel fuel and diesel fuel above-ground storage tank. Contractor must complete, sign, and date the FDEP Limited Closure Report Form for ASTs provided in Exhibit D and submit the form to the County within sixty (60) days of completion of closure. Project Work Hours: Work activity will be limited to weekdays only: Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDST.
