All questions to be submitted to A/E by 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 The project consists of constructing a new Fire Station that includes garage bays, meeting room, restrooms, and offices. The building foundation is concrete footings and slab on grade. Exterior walls are wood framing with metal panels, fiberglass insulation, and gypsum board or liner panels. Work also includes interior finished, plumbing, ventilation, and electrical. Site work includes rough grading, utilities, and concrete paving. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Lincoln Fire Protection District Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur by September 16, 2024. Begin construction on Monday, September 30, 2024. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before Friday May 16, 2025. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner.
