(KJCT) - The Board of County Commissioners authorized the submission of a $1.575 million grant application to the State of Colorado’s Underfunded Courthouse Facility program during their Sept. 24 public hearing. By having additional judges and courtrooms, that should speed things up,” said commissioner Janet Rowland. For the past three years, Mesa County and the 21st Judicial District have been working to address the growing space concerns for judicial services. “Our judges have very big caseloads. Many of them work six and seven days a week.
