Site work for a water / sewer project in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Procurement Office on behalf of the Department of Public Works is requesting bids for the following: FY25 ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS. The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, unclassified excavation, removal, disposal, and replacement of the existing storm drainage system, pavement repair, and reconstruction, loaming and seeding, and other incidental work Contractor Prequalification by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in accordance with the Shared Streets and Spaces Program and MGL Ch 90, S34, 720 CMR 5.00 MassDOT prequalification of contractors with class of work as Drainage for the project with an estimated value of $1,957,926.00 is required. Only Prequalified or officially waived Contractors may submit bids. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Contractor Prequalification by MASSDOT for Drainage is required. Questions Due Date: Sep 18th 2024, 12:00 PM EDT NO LATER THAN NOON Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) policies of the Town of Barnstable are applicable. The "Fair Share" construction requirement for this project is a minimum of 10.4% combined MBE/WBE participation by state certified MBEs and WBEs. Within five days after the Bid Opening, the Bidder shall submit a "Schedule for Participation by Minority Business Enterprises" with accompanying Letters of Intent by each minority subcontractor proposed to be used by the Bidder. See Town Policy and Section 6 of this document for details of required submittals. The completion date for all of the work to be performed under this contract is within 270 days of executed contract date. Construction may begin following the receipt of notice to proceed and approval of all required Contractor submittals.
