The Town is seeking a highly qualified Firm to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, shop drawing review, expertise and supervision to fully develop plans and specifications to construct a post tension concrete basketball court at Pragemann Park on Oak Street in the Town of Wallingford. It is the Town's intent to engage a highly qualified Firm to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, shop drawing review, expertise, and supervision to fully develop plans and specifications, and to construct a post-tension concrete basketball court at Pragemann Park on Oak Street in the Town of Wallingford. The proposed post-tension concrete court will replace the existing bituminous concrete basketball court at the park. The basketball court will require both a 20-year structural warranty and 10-year warranty for surface coating system. The work included in this design and construction bid consists of the following: o Submission of State of Connecticut licensed engineering drawing and specifications for posttension concrete system, along with necessary construction details for the court. Engineering drawings and specifications must be prepared and signed and stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of CT with PTI Certification. o Demolition of the existing court and reclaiming of existing bituminous concrete courtsurface. o Construction of new post-tension concrete basketball court. o Construction of 4-feet wide bituminous concrete path. o Furnish and install acrylic-based sports surface for concrete court. o Furnish and install basketball systems (post footings, post, backboard, hoop, net, etc.) The Owner will issue a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor within 10 days after awarding the contract. The work under this Contract (Work Authorization) should be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of a Work Authorization/ Notice to Proceed, unless otherwise amended in writing by the Town Engineer or her designee.
