Notice of CMR Invitation to Bid for Pinney Hall Envelope and Building Repair, Western Connecticut State University, 181 White St, Danbury, CT 06810. As of February 28, 2025, construction had commenced late 2024. Completion is expected March 2026. All trades have been awarded. The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. This Notice of CMR Invitation to Bid is provided by DAS/CS on behalf of the CMR for this DAS/CS Project. The CMR is soliciting bids as described below. Bid Packages: This Project is open to all qualified bidders. (DAS Certified) BID PACKAGE 01 - General Trades BID PACKAGE 02 - Select Demolition BID PACKAGE 08 - Aluminum, Glass and Glazing Project Summary: 1 Removal of exterior concrete balconies, support columns and sliding glass balcony doors. 2 Installation of aluminum curtain wall system at locations where balconies have been removed. 3 Additional structural work required for the anchorage of curtain wall system. 4 Interior painting and flooring at rooms where curtain wall is located. 5 Incidental roofing work at tops of curtain walls. 6 Modifications to existing lightning protection system where balcony roofs have been removed. Bid Package Information and the Pre-Bid Meeting Schedule are provided on the attached document. Please refer to the CMR's Bid Package for Bid Submission Requirements. Questions should be directed to the CMR No oral, telephone, or telegraphic proposals will be considered. All bids shall stand available for acceptance for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date bids are opened. If applicable supplemental bids shall stand available for acceptance for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days from the date the bids are open. The project shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with Connecticut General Statute 4b-91, however, the State of Connecticut and the Construction Manager reserves the right to waive any informality in any Bids or to reject any and all bids, or any part of any bid, when it is determined to be in the best interest of the State or the Construction Manager to do so. A 10% Bid Security is required from each Bidder at the time of bid submission. The selected bidder will be required to post Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of the Contract Sum, (if in excess of $100,000.00 dollars).
