As of Noveber 4, 2024, this solicitation is expected to be awarded in January of 2025. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Bay City Housing Commission (BCHC) is seeking responses to its Request For Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified Development Partners to facilitate the development of affordable housing in Bay City Michigan. It is anticipated that the development would be completed through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Rental Assistance Demonstration ("RAD") Program and other programs such as HUD's Section 18: Demo/Dispo. Project financing would be a combination of investor equity from the sale of low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCs) from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), conventional or FHA mortgages, grants and equity. Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 5:30 PM ET The site(s) for the affordable housing project are comprised of two parcels on Columbus Avenue, 111 N. Madison Ave (former YMCA) with 1.81 acres and 108 N. Adams St (former Bay County Market) with 1.87 acres. The sites are currently bisected by N. Jefferson Street. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
