Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Opp, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
Principal items of work include pre-engineered metal buildings,site improvements, and relatedappurtenances. The Owner reserves the rightto reject any or all bids and towaive any informalities. Guarantee will be required witheach bid for at least 5% of theamount of the bid filed in theform of a certified check or BidBond payable to the Opp Utilities Board. Bid Bonds shallinclude certification that thebonding company is listed inCircular 570 of the U.S. Treasury Department. Each bidder must submit with his bid,security in the amount, form,and subject to the conditionsprovided in the Information forBidders. The successful bidderwill be required to submit 100%performance bond and a 50%payment bond. Each bidder must be licensedas a Contractor in the State ofAlabama in accordance withprovisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama,1985, and must submit withthis bid satisfactory evidence ofsuch license. All bids SHALL be submittedin the Contract SpecificationsBook as issued by the Engineer. All bids shall be submittedin a sealed envelope bearing onthe outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder's license number,license expiration date, category, address and name of theproject. The Opp Utilities Board is anequal opportunity employer andencourages the participationof women and minority ownedbusinesses (OMBEs) and Section 3 qualified contractors in allproject contract procurements.
