Renovation of an educational facility in Opp, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Renovations and HVAC Replacement at Opp High School . All Contractors bidding this project shall be required to visit the site and examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. See scope of work for limited scope for base bid and alternate. The project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interests of the Owner will there by be promoted Should any Bidder or subcontractor find any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the Drawings and Project Manual, or insufficient information to provide a complete job, or be in doubt as to the intent and meaning thereof, he should at once report such in writing to Architect and request clarification prior to bidding B. Clarification shall be made only by written Addenda during the bid period and sent to all perspective Bidders. The Architect and Consultants shall not be responsible for verbal answers regarding intent or meaning of the Contract Documents, or for any verbal instructions, by whomsoever made, prior to the award of the Contract. C. Additionally, all designed systems and/or assemblies are to be proposed and bid as complete assemblies or operational systems. Drawings are indicating intent and not attempting to fully obtain or detail required work. Email this form in its entirety to Project Manager listed below. All products, materials, systems, equipment and services requested for prior approval must be submitted to the architect for approval no later than 2:00 p.m., Ten (10) days prior to the bid date. To: McKee & Associates, Architects Glenn Chapman chapmang@mckeeassoc.com Certified checks or Bid Bondspayable to Opp City Schoolsin an amount not less than fivepercent (5%) of the amount ofthe bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany the bidder's sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975 and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect.All bidders shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered If you have any questions, please contact DCM's Plan Review Division at 334-242-4082 or planreview@realproperty.alabama.gov.
