**As of June 26, 2025 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Elevator Modernization Phase 2 - REBID Description In general, the work consists of modernization of elevators in Buildings 2, 5, 15, 17, 24, 35, and 98 including ADD/ALTs in Buildings 2, 45, 79A, and 79B, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by HKA. Architect's construction estimate is $2,700,000.00. Liquidated damages are set at $500.00 per day. The University will waive the audited/reviewed financial requirement from the pre-qualification issued by the Chancellor's Office on this project only; contractors are still required to meet all other criteria outlined in the systemwide prequalification. The Chancellor's Office will then provide conditional pre-qualification letters to those bidders satisfying the pre-qualification criteria and whose applications were received by the pre-qualification deadline. Bond requirements of Bidder's Bond, 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond are still required. Insurance: Each bidder shall be familiar with all the provisions of the Contract General Conditions and Supplementary General Conditions, especially the Insurance Requirements for the CSU Builders Risk Insurance Program (BRIP) and for the CSU Owner-Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). This project will be enrolled into the BRIP, and may be enrolled into the OCIP, ifso,specified in the Supplementary General Conditions. If OCIP is applicable to this project, Bidders may review OCIP documents online at www.calstate.edu/ConstructionInsurancePrograms. Disabled Veteran and Small Business Requirement and Incentive: The Trustees require the successful bidder to achieve three percent (3%) DVBE participation in contracting construction projects as established in the bidding documents, and bidders shall identify the DVBEs to be used to satisfy this requirement in their bids. The DVBE incentive may not exceed $100,000. When used in combination with the Small Business Preference, the cumulative adjustment amount shall not exceed $100,000. If the lowest responsive, responsible bid is a California certified small business, for bid evaluation purposes only, the only bidders eligible for the incentive will be California certified small businesses. Bidders shall contact the Trustees' DVBE Coordinator, Duane Johnson, duanejohnson@cpp.edu. Each bidder shall be familiar with all the provisions of the Contract General Conditions and Supplementary General Conditions. Bidders must be prequalified with the Trustees and submit their prequalification applications, (Thursday, May 29, 2025, 5:00 p.m.)
