Site work and paving for a road / highway in Greenville, South Carolina. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of September 8, 2025, engineering team identified. The public input and route feasibility study portion of the project is expected to last approximately six months. The next step will be an approximately 12-month engineering process to develop fully permitted construction documents that the City expects to bid for construction sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. The City of Greenville is seeking proposals for design services for the Swamp Rabbit Trail Orange Line from the City Limit line at Worley Road to Wade Hampton Boulevard (through the North Main Community). The project consists of public input, route development, route design and engineering, cost estimating and bid development, as well as value engineering and obtaining any necessary permits for construction. The Swamp Rabbit Orange Line is expected to be extended from its current termini at Buncombe Road to Worley Drive by Greenville County, creating an opportunity for the City of Greenville to provide a direct connection to the SRT for the North Main community, which has historically been disconnected from the system. The trail route, beginning at Worley Road, has many possible routing alignments and the City has established the three most likely routes for study, but remains open to study of any feasible route determined during the evolution of the project. City adopts the State of South Carolina's goal for participation of M/WBEs: 10% of annual controllable procurement expenditures, which are defined as agreements between the City and its contractors to provide or procure labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and services to, for, or on behalf of the City. Question Deadline 10/03/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Questions regarding the bid may be sent to rgray@greenvillesc.gov. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals; to waive any informality or irregularity not affected by law; to evaluate, in its absolute discretion, the proposals submitted; and to award the contract based on the established criteria and according to the proposal which best serves the interest of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
