State Highway Administration is bidding for 2-year of welding services based on time and materials. The welder must be certified and have a minimum of five years' experience. The contractor must be able to repair, modify or fabricate snowplows, plow push frames, steel or stainless-steel salt spreader boxes and aluminum or steel dump bodies. 24-hour response time, including in adverse weather like snowstorms. Payment is usually within 30 days of invoice receipt. Prices submitted in response to this solicitation are irrevocable for ninety (90) days following the due date. The Procurement Officer may, however, request vendors to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids. Once a bid is accepted, all prices, terms, and conditions shall remain unchanged throughout the contract period. The contractor will be required to perform various welding assignments as needed to State Highway Administration equipment, facilities, and along State Highways in Queen Anne's County, MD. The welder must be certified with a minimum of five years experience. The contractor must be able to repair, modify or fabricate snowplows, plow push frames, steel or stainless steel salt spreader boxes and aluminum or steel dump bodies. The contractor must own his own equipment and be able to respond in adverse weather conditions. The contractor will be required to provide his own welding rods, spools, gasses, torches and other supplies needed to complete the work. The vendor must be able to be mobile to come to any facility or location owned by State Highway Administration within Queen Anne's County. WORKING HOURS: Normal working hours will be 6:30AM to 3:00PM, Monday through Friday. Normal Response Time: The Contractor must respond within 24 hours of notification.
