The work of providing labor, equipment, and material for the Proposed Leighton Collection System Upgrade and Rehabilitation Project - Contract "1" Leighton Sanitary Sewer Pre-Video Inspection Project. CWSRF Project No. CS010853-02. The principal items of work are detailed herein below: Clean and Video Approximately 16,000 LF of 8" Gravity Sewer Line Video Condition of Existing Manholes 56 Total Document notes: No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible and responsive Bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the Bids. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 30 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. Bid date notes: If your Bid Documents are mailed, they should be received prior at the Town Creek City Hall, 8900 Main Street, Leighton, AL 35646. The contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided through CWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Funds). All Applicable Federal Guidelines must be met. There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
